With the Christmas workshop to go, you can conjure up all kinds of pre-Christmas cheer in no time at all. Or perhaps it would be better to say - in a brushstroke. Try it out: the glittery crafting fun for young and old and become a bauble artist yourself, creating very special memories.
A Christmas DIY set!
The idea is as simple as it is exciting, the packaging practical and uncomplicated, because that's how it comes: securely and sturdily packed in environmentally friendly cardboard packaging, the mobile Christmas workshop can be set up wherever you want - or wherever the craft tablecloth is already ready. When you open the lid, the contents are beautifully arranged: three high-quality, matt shimmering manufactory baubles with a classic diameter of 8.0 cm in a traditional Christmas colour. Whether gold, red or white - the choice of colour is entirely up to you. A jar of glue, two thin brushes and three colours of glitter dust in gold, red and silver complete the set. You're ready to go ...
And this is how it works ...
The first ball at hand, the brush dipped in the glue and you're ready to go: Large, simple patterns such as stars, hearts or initials work best to start with. But as with everything in life, practice makes perfect: Practice makes perfect! For particularly intricate ornaments, we recommend using a fine glue that can be applied with pinpoint accuracy (available from specialist craft shops), as the glue supplied is relatively tough.
Once the desired motif has been painted onto the ball, put the brush aside and you can start glittering. Simply select the desired colour and carefully sprinkle a good amount of glitter dust onto the painted areas. Gently tap the ball with a finger so that the excess glitter can fall off. Repeat the process - and with the appropriate colours - until all the desired areas are sparkling. It's ready: the unique Christmas tree bauble for that special sparkle on the tree.
Our tips:
Preparation is everything! In addition to a spacious work surface, Christmas music and a plate of fragrant biscuits, these three tips will also ensure a relaxed, atmospheric crafting experience:
A bauble is round and therefore likes to roll around. If you take a glass or a small lantern, you have a great surface on which you can place the ball again and again without it rolling away.
When glittering: Take a DIN A4 sheet of paper as a base. Fold the sheet in half once and catch the excess mica on it. As soon as you have finished with one colour, carefully open the paper and gently tap the glitter dust towards the centre. Then let it slowly trickle back into the jar as if down a chute. Please note: We recommend a separate sheet for each colour!
The applied ornaments dry particularly well if you hang the bauble freely - for example on a lampshade or on one of our practical bauble stands.
