To be honest, we expected 2020 to be a special year back in January. After all, Kugelrausch is celebrating a small anniversary this autumn: its fifth anniversary.

But then March came and with it Corona. The world came to a standstill - or at least life as we knew it. However, the production of the Christmas tree figurines, which always requires a long lead time due to their elaborate craftsmanship, continued without any noticeable delays. Parcel after parcel arrived and we filled our warehouse, unpacked, marvelled and - paused again and again, deeply impressed by the craftsmanship with which the glass works of art were made. But also because some of the motifs suddenly took on a whole new meaning against the backdrop of the current situation.

"The wise man looks out of the window and sees the whole world."

Many people have probably muttered this famous saying to themselves over the past few months, when numerous borders were closed, flights were cancelled and timetables were restricted. Even now, extreme caution still applies. The Covid-19 virus is far from being defeated. But we still think you can dream of vastness, wind and waves. Of wonderful journeys, faraway places and memorable experiences. Dream with us; with our new wanderlust and contemplation baubles on the tree.

For example, grab the rainbow-coloured stack of suitcases and head to the alpine pastures with dirndls and edelweiss bells. Or to the sea, where the popular little lighthouse is now also available in red and white . Perhaps you will find one of our new treasure chests on the beach ?

Once you have immersed yourself in nature, you can of course also admire our new safari additions: Whether lion, cheetah, rhinoceros, hippopotamus or lemur - Africa is richly represented. But that's not all. Several dogs (different breeds), cats and the classic farm animals(pig, sheep, mouse ...) have also moved into Kugelrausch.

Moments of pleasure, preferably at home, are particularly important this year. No problem at all with a silver espresso pot (we recommend a delicious cream puff or sweet cupcakes!) or Santa's bath! A book to go with it? How about a fairy tale? Alice in Wonderland brings such wonderful characters with it ...
