"Here I drop anchor, here I'm at home. I'll let out all my seafaring joy for once ...", goes an old shanty, which seems to have been written for this wonderful maritime figure. Because the anchor for the Christmas tree is simply pure love of the sea.
In the classic shape of a so-called stock anchor with a silver-grey ring or shackle at the top, as if made of shimmering metal, and algae-green flukes on the curved arms, this indispensable accessory for every ship has a very traditional look. A light brown, coarse wooden beam serves as a sturdy crosspiece. The thick rope, which wraps around the anchor in a wonderfully realistic, matt, almost dull-looking paint finish and is interspersed with golden glitter lines as well as sea-water-like blue here and there, creates a truly nautical look.
