The woodpecker is actually considered the carpenter of the forest. The beaver, in its over-eagerness to nibble at trees all around it, is more of a lumberjack when you think of manual trades. He presents himself here as a glass figurine for the tree in a droll sitting posture with a tidy little belly between his bent legs - well-behaved, cozy and naturally simple.
No glitter dust has been used, for example. The light brown fur has a silky matt sheen. The dark brown, distinctive tail is folded forward in front of the animal between its feet. A forest green base forms the natural surroundings. Gentle brushstrokes in dark brown and two small ones in a champagne shade conjure up a cheeky face with the famous gnawing teeth.
