They look funny, somehow cozy and yet the power they can develop makes you feel quite queasy - once they start gnawing away at a tree trunk with their powerful gnawing teeth: we are of course talking about beavers, which look like cuddly toys with their brown fur and broad, distinctive tail.
This specimen looks particularly charming for the Christmas tree. Leaning forward, it crouches on a successfully gnawed tree stump, which reaches up to the chin of the industrious rodent with its pointed tip. The bark, decorated with glitter, shimmers green and brown. Two fly agarics in front form a pretty contrast to the otherwise muted tones of the entire ensemble. The famous teeth gleam whitely from the lovingly drawn snout of the cheeky beaver. Particularly naturalistic: to emphasize the mossy character of the forest floor, the figure has actually been given a little artificial moss around the stems of the mushrooms.
