Christmas bauble:  Bismarck donut

Berliner, Krapfen, Kreppel, Pfannkuchen ... - call it what you like or what it's called in your region! Whatever name the soft, fatty pastry is known by, one thing is certain: it is not only fun to eat, as it is traditionally served on festive occasions (carnival, New Year's Eve ...). It's also incredibly tasty!

And it looks simply scrumptious in the Christmas tree. Yes, that's right, this doughnut is actually made of glass and is just for looking at and decorating. And perhaps for a permanent grin. Its almost full-size shape, the colour of the dough, which shimmers between light brown and golden, and the whitish glitter, which looks amazingly similar to real icing sugar, make it look very similar to its culinary role model.
