It is probably Berlin's most famous landmark: the Brandenburg Gate, built at the end of the 17th century and a symbol and monument to so many historical eras and events. For Berlin fans, it now comes here as a glittering highlight for Christmas decorations:
Angular, lovingly designed and equipped with the important details that make it unmistakable. It has been painted in different shades of gold and beige. The sky shines bright blue through the striking six pillars that support the mighty roof. Capitals and decorations have been simplified with careful brushstrokes. Golden glitter lends the building a glamorous touch. And the copper quadriga was also given a wonderfully stylized touch: as a green knob, which clearly shows where it once went east and west, it is enthroned at the top under the golden suspension crown.
