It is the most widespread goose in the world: the Canada goose, which originates from North America, was brought to Europe as ornamental poultry, became wild there and has long since become a familiar sight in our parks, fields, riversides and cities.
With its distinctive colouring, it is unmistakable - just like this artistic glass figurine for the Christmas tree: the neck, head and beak are black with a white band around the chin, which has also been glamorously dusted with whitish glitter in the Christmas edition. The back and sides are a brownish-beige colour, becoming lighter towards the chest and belly until the underside of the tail finally turns completely white again. It glitters white here too, with the entire rump gently covered in wintery frost glitter. A black glittering base also symbolises the dark goose legs and leads into the golden clamp holder for attaching the bird in the fir green.
