Admittedly, the time to collect chestnuts is clearly in September and October. Nevertheless, this ever-ripe, magnificent specimen will enhance any decorative arrangement even in December.
Its characteristic spiky shell, about a quarter of the way open, shimmers in a rich light green colour. Embedded in the typical whitish edge: a marvellous, shiny brown chestnut. Particularly festive: the colour-matching, subtle glitter dust in green and brown.
