It is the classic fast food speciality and the favourite of many holidaymakers in Denmark: the hot dog, or more precisely the Fransk Hotdog, whose sausage peeks out of half a baguette as practically as a lugworm from the North Sea beach.
With none of the usual gobbledygook of other ordinary hot dogs with fried onions and slices of gherkin, the Fransk Hotdog impresses with its simplicity and also cuts a truly delicious figure as a glass figurine for the Christmas tree. Of course, the usual sauces such as ketchup, mayo and Fransk Hotdog dressing have not been spared here either. The elongated bun also shimmers delicately in a crispy brown colour with dark stripes, as if it had just come out of the toaster.
