Thickly fluffed up, the shiny black plumage as if dusted with snow - this is how the cheerful Christmas blackbird sits enthroned on its delicately painted branch, which even has two green leaves sprouting from it.
Also lovingly painted with careful brushstrokes: the cute little blue, white and black eyes from which the bird looks around cheekily, as well as the distinctive (and yes, for a blackbird, rather pithy) orange beak. The absolute highlight: the Santa hat on its head, painted in matt red with white glitter on the bobble and brim.
