Christmas bauble:  Grandfather clock

Would the smallest of the seven little goats have found the perfect hiding place in it? In any case, antique fans will be just as enthusiastic about this glass ornament for the Christmas tree: a grandfather clock. Traditional, narrow and tall like a pillar, it stands on its classicist base. Light beige and brown, it shimmers in different shades as if made of real wood.

Its body is divided into several compartments, the inside of which houses the pendulum for the functioning clockwork, clearly visible as if through a window. The pendulum hangs golden in the middle, with oval weights dangling to the left and right of it against a light green background. A white dial with twelve black hour markers and hands form the face of the clock. A gently curved roof marks the crowning glory at the very top.
