He lies there majestically and more than lives up to his reputation as king of the animals: a bit like a sphinx looking sideways - his front paws raised, his tail slightly swinging around his rump, his hind legs comfortably crossed in a sitting position.
A magnificent mane frames the head, whose eyes and muzzle have been drawn with a confident brushstroke. The silky coat shimmers orange-brown. Only the mane and the tip of the tail have a little glitter for glamorous moments. It almost looks like a heraldic animal: the lion for the Christmas tree.
