How would you describe a snowman? As a friendly little man, usually made of three thick snow globes of different sizes with a funny face, a broom in his hand and a hat on his head? With this magnificent specimen, a few more words are needed to do justice to all the loving and lavish details.
So let's start with the shiny red, yellow and blue dotted waistcoat, which is not only edged in yellow and gold, but also held together by gold and black, ornate trimmings. The winter messenger combines a blue coat with a glittering white snow flower pattern with a green, red and cream striped scarf and a shiny red top hat with a red and white striped band and decorative holly bouquet. But that's not all. Instead of a plain broom, the snowman holds a cosy street lamp decorated with golden contours and a Christmas wreath in his right hand - while a sparkling red cardinal sits enthroned on his knobbly left hand.
Please note: This figure draws on the full in every sense of the word. Please note that at a stately height of 16 cm, it is somewhat larger than most Christmas tree figurines.
