Christmas bauble:  Moomin mom

If you love Scandinavia and Finland, you can't get past them: the Moomins, these troll-like, cute creatures that look a bit like hippos and live in the idyllic Moomin Valley, which is located somewhere in Finland. They were invented by Finnish author Tove Jansson (1914-2001), who wrote and illustrated the stories about the funny little creatures between 1945 and 1970.

Over 100 different characters define the world of the Moomins. However, the most important figures include the members of the Moomin family themselves as well as a few striking characters from their immediate surroundings. Admire here: Moomin Mama in a classic pose with a red and white striped apron and a black handbag slung over her arm.
