It is something special, although it has been native to our latitudes for centuries and can be recognized in the wild not only by its distinctive call. The pretty ratite, which only covers short distances in the air, also stands out visually from the rest of the flock. The male in particular, with its blue-green colored head, is visible over long distances.
This specimen for the Christmas tree is no exception. It shimmers elegantly with blue head plumage and the characteristic red eyes on a golden clip. A whitish glittering neck wreath forms the transition to the light brown rump. Dark brown glitter dust marks the wings on the right and left. Several real, striped feathers attached to the glass bird form the slender and elegant tail of the ornate animal.
