It is one of the most popular Christmas flowers of all: the poinsettia with its typical red blossom in green foliage. Strictly speaking, what we call a flower is just the differently colored bracts of this unusual plant, which belongs to the spurge family.
Nevertheless, the poinsettia is definitely an eye-catcher as a shiny red flower for the Christmas tree. With lush, circular leaves, it is both magnificent and symmetrical. Fine green glitter triangles hint at the green "normal" leaves. Golden glitter dots in the center symbolize the real inflorescence. Particularly pretty: the front and back of the figurine are designed differently so that the green foliage can be seen from behind.
