In some Asian countries, it is considered a delicacy. Even though the pufferfish is not at home in our oceans, we all know and love it: due to its impressive and funny ability to inflate its belly in emergency situations so that its body becomes the famous and eponymous ball.
The highly venomous animal looks particularly pretty here as a glass Christmas tree ornament. As a truly exotic creature, it naturally attracts attention not only with its characteristic shape but also with its magnificent appearance. For example, the white underbelly is dotted with reddish-brown dots between the knobbly spines. Orange-coloured glitter dust makes the yellow-brown upper side sparkle. The vertical tail fin is striped in brown and white, while black dots mark the funny eyes.
