In China, it was reserved for the emperor for a long time and this traditional dog breed has also gathered a large fan base in our part of the world. No wonder, because this friendly little animal not only has a strong character - with its typically strong, knobbly build, round face, chubby eyes and flat nose, it looks simply adorable.
