It is perhaps the instrument that most people have held in their hands and perhaps even played: the recorder. Simple, compact in size and also pretty to look at with its classic wooden body. It has been used in numerous variations all over the world for thousands of years. Here it is made of glass, skilfully lacquered and painted as an atmospheric decoration for the Christmas tree.
Its cylindrical body shimmers in a matt cream colour. Golden banderoles structure its curves and provide sparkling reflections. The labium shines in dark brown, as do the six finger holes on the centrepiece, which of course clearly follow the visual appearance rather than the correctness of the instrument.
