Did you know that rhubarb is a vegetable? That it originally comes from East Asia and should be eaten between March, April and June due to its increasing oxalic acid content from July? Its juicy red stalks taste delicious, and not just when baked in sponge cake batter. However, if you don't want to wait for the spring harvest, you can also treat yourself to something good at Christmas time.
Not over-ripened, but shimmering more green than reddish, a whole bunch dangles down from the golden crown in a wonderfully aesthetic way. Held together with a white lacquered ribbon, the stems open out into magnificent foliage at the bottom. The veins of the leaves are artfully accentuated with red glitter. Transparent glitter granules, which have been scattered over the entire figure, give the Christmas bauble an additional frosty kick of freshness.
