Fish on the Christmas tree have a long tradition. However, they are rarely lined up like this one (literally "like in a sardine tin"), which makes the figurine unusual. Yes, the sardine tin is definitely an eye-catcher in the pine green.
However, its rectangular tin can made of blown glass is actually quite classic and downright inconspicuous. It is painted gold and the flat back is lightly glittered with gold. The right and left edges are strikingly fluted. A red label with silvery white lettering and a painted fish unmistakably reveals that the tin contains "sardines". And thanks to the half-open, rolled-up lid, you can really see them lying next to each other: Three silver sardines with black and white painted eyes and delicate silver glitter on the shiny fish skin.
