And another classic from the home cookie tin: this shortbread, which is a little reminiscent of a cinnamon bun, is of course a must for a cozy tea party.
It is very plain, without any decorations, and its simple shape makes a big impression: A circle of light brown cookie dough. It has a silky matt sheen in sometimes lighter, sometimes darker golden shades. Like a real cookie, the surface is slightly bumpy, i.e. crumbly and fresh from the oven.
