Is it because of their bulbous, plump shape that we like them so much? Is it her round head or her funny look? The fact is: The popular snowy owl has been gathering a true fan community around her, and not just since her appearance in a world-famous children's book. And she has truly earned it. The arctic bird is too beautiful and graceful, and is presented here as a lifelike glass Christmas tree figurine:
Painted in matte white with grey horizontal stripes, the exquisite animal sits on a small, brown branch from where it gazes cheerfully into the distance with bright yellow eyes. It is clearly a female, as male snowy owls develop an almost white plumage as they get older. And something else catches the eye of the attentive observer: as if the snowy owl had just flown through a snow-covered landscape, its plumage has been carefully dusted with an ice-like, silvery-white glitter.
