It accompanies us all year round. Nevertheless, we are particularly fond of squirrels in fall and winter. Because it looks so pretty with its earth-colored fur? Because it perches so cutely on its hind legs and interrupts its hibernation time and again to dig out a few supplies or even nibble a few tidbits from the bird feeder on the windowsill?
This glass squirrel looks out at the viewer in exactly the same typical pose: its bushy tail, decorated with reddish-brown glitter, is raised in an S-shape and it holds a shimmering green pine cone in its paws - this is how it presents itself, shimmering elegantly as a glass ornament for the Christmas tree. Fine button eyes, delicate muzzle contours and small claws on the paws have also been carefully drawn with a thin brushstroke.
