Put a boot in front of the door on the eve of December 6 and hope for a sweet surprise - who isn't familiar with this beautiful custom that has been practiced in many families for centuries?
This shiny blue, chunky and knobbly boot made of glass with a distinctive brown sole and thick, white and silver glittered brim looks almost predestined for the Santa Claus greeting. So it's no wonder that the latter apparently left something sweet inside. Whereby sweet should by no means be understood as edible. A cute little brown bear with a comic-like face climbs cheerfully out of the mighty shaft. He is wearing a blue and turquoise ringed scarf to ward off the cold in winter and a red and white bobble hat on his head to match the approaching Christmas celebrations.
