It is the secret star of the Netherlands, a popular holiday souvenir and a tried and tested garden companion here and there: the clog, which in its glass version for the Christmas tree really draws on the full, or rather reaches into the cliché box.
It shimmers yellow-golden, as if made from light-coloured wood. The shape? Curved, of course, classic, with a slightly raised tip at the toes. The sole has the characteristic split in the centre and is dusted with greenish-yellow glitter instead of plastic tread, just in time for Christmas. The edge on the upper has also been festively edged in a matching glitter colour. The only thing left to mention is the motif. A tulip greeting, of course - how could it be otherwise? - in pink, red and yellow with lush green leaves and fine, hand-painted black contours.
