Rocky or even better: punk - these words are probably the best way to describe this fun and unusual clip-on bird for the Christmas tree. While its traditional counterparts usually only really come into their own with the help of a glued-on tail of feathers, the yellow-crested cockatoo is completely effective thanks to its glass appearance.
It is unusually large at around 26 centimetres. The elaborately painted body gleams silver-white. The chest and underside of the tail are decorated in a delicate yellow colour, which has also been lavishly sprinkled with festive glitter. White bead granules enhance the plumage of the wings and tail as well as a narrow stripe above the striking, grey-black painted beak. The funny googly eyes on the head are also jet black. But the highlight par excellence is definitely the crest consisting of five drawn glass tips; the eponymous yellow cap of the noble animal, which - as mentioned at the beginning - is somehow reminiscent of a punk hairstyle.
